Hageman Water Conditioning is on a quest to make ice water your beverage of choice at mealtime. Great tasting ice water is refreshing and goes with any meal. It is also good for you. Water helps carry nutrients throughout your body, helps carry waste out of your body and helps regulate body temperature. Drinking plenty of good tasting water during the day is one of the keys to good health. Side benefits of good tasting filtered water include better tasting coffee, soups, stews, and ice cubes. Reverse Osmosis is the ultimate in filtered water. In fact, your water is filtered four times before it is routed to a tap in your kitchen and/or refrigerator. First, a sediment filter takes out any solids in the water larger than 5 microns (a micron in one millionth of a meter). Next, the water passes through a carbon block filter with an even lower micron rating. The carbon takes chlorine out of the water as well as volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Carbon is also well known for removing objectionable tastes and odors in water. Stage three is where the hard work is done. The membrane filters water down into the nanometer range (a nanometer is one billionth of a meter). This means that even a virus is too big to pass through. The purified water is stored in a small pressure tank until called for. It then passes through another "polishing" carbon filter. The result is delicious, purified water that you'll want to drink and use in your cooking recipes. Call us today in Kalamazoo at: (269)349-1170.
